Obituary:


Zachary Charles Bailey, 31, of Jacksonville, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born in Baltimore County, Maryland on April 13, 1988, to Charles "Gary" and Lois Ann (Friend) Bailey, and was the eldest of two children. Zach, as he was known to his loved ones, was a shining light, a voracious reader, an accomplished musician, and a Mason. Those closest to him were blessed to have known him, and will always remember his passion for aviation, quick wit, and generous heart.

Zach was a 2006 graduate of Calvert Hall College High School where he was active in the music program. He loved his job in accounting and charter scheduling at Skytech at the Westminister Airport, and had expected a bright future there. He was attending Towson University and ready to complete his degree at the end of the fall 2019 semester.

Zach is survived by his devoted parents, Gary and Lois Bailey; his loving sister, Zoe Bailey; his best friend, Amadeus "Ami" Guchhait; his Uncle Chuck and Aunt Lois Friend; cousins Jennifer Friend-Robinson and Benjamin Friend; and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at noon at Ruck Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Road, Towson, Maryland 21204, with [name] officiating. The family will greet friends from 6 PM to 9 PM on Thursday, May 2 at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, and on Friday from 10 AM until the time of service. The family will greet our Garrett County friends at noon Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the C&S Fredlock Funeral Home, 21 N 2nd St, Oakland, MD 21550, with interment immediately following at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Oakland, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zach's name to the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Company, 3500 Sweet Air Road, Phoenix, Maryland 21131.
